Bike Stop at Gilbert Town Square Fountain
This is a shot of my first mountain bike by the fountain in the traffic circle in Gilbert Town Square. I call the bike NEXT 1. It’s a 26”, 21-speed with front and rear suspension. It sports tires with heavy slime-filled tubes and plastic liners to boldly take on the deserts nasty thorns. I have never gotten a flat since their installation (prior to that, fixing a flat was a daily experience). It also is fitted with a super-comfortable, wide, gel-filled seat. At the time of posting this photo, NEXT 1 has provided me with 3000 miles of problem-free, great desert riding pleasure.
Saracen Full-suspension Prototype
Weird bikes I have owned: This was a very early Saracen full-suspension bike, from before any bikes had suspension. The front and rear suspension are linked and both operated the elastomer shock under the down tube. Very neat, didn't work very well ;-)
Also, have a close look at how the rear brake is operated...
